Prom 2015

Hey guys, sorry I've been gone so long! I did have my GCSE exams but I am back now and (hoping to) upload weekly or monthly, but regularly anyway. Now onto the exciting part... PROM. This post is going to be like a 'vlog' but written, so lets begin with year 11.

I went to the same school from 2010 to 2015,  I had 3 different best friend 'groups', 4 (silly) boyfriends and 5 years of fun. Ask me in year 9 if I enjoyed school and I would say no for sure, give year 9 me the chance to drop out and I know I would have but I stuck it out till the very end. I didn't care much for school until year 11 when things started becoming real. I had exams in 4 months and I still didn't know Pythagoras theorem or the composer for waltz! At this point I had a breakdown and cried for 2 hours straight. I made a revision timetable and started with history as (if you ask anyone that knows me, will tell you) that was my worst subject. I got stressed after an hour and a half and went to bed. I did bits of revision but nothing major until 2 weeks before exams when I started revising my for my first exam - core Biology. When the exam came around I was pretty prepared and confident. I left the exam feeling ok but still unsure. All other exams after that were hard, I wasn't confident on any of them and until August 20th I still wont be. I finished school on June 12th and finally stopped stressing. I prepared myself for prom and to be honest, wasn't really excited.

Prom Day-

11:00 - I woke up and ate some honey on toast, drank my tea and relaxed.

12:30 - I left my house to meet Courtney and went to the hairdressers where my cousin Laura started on my hair.

3:40 - I finally left the hairdressers. (If you're wondering why it took so long - my hair = 1 and a half hours, Courtney's make up = 1 hour, Courtney's hair = 2 hours.

4:00 - As the hair took longer than we expected I had to rush home to get my make up done by my mom's friend as I now only had one hour.

4:45 - Make up done and now I had the finishing touches - silver tattoos, jewellery, dress on, shoes on and pack bag.

5:10 - I was late but ready. My cousin, Tanya, dropped me and my mom off to Hannah's, where the limo was picking us up. Luckily for me the limo was running late so we still had time and I didn't miss out on anything.

6:20 - The limo arrived and dropped us to the Motorcycle Museum, where the prom was being held. It took 40 minutes to get there so we arrived about 7:00.

7:00 - We arrived at prom! We took photos, said hi to everyone and sat down to eat.

8:00 - 12:00 - We danced, took photobooth photos, chatted, cried and had a great night.

1:00 - 11:00am - The afterparty!!! (oops)

Quick, Easy and Cheap Gift Ideas

Hello everyone, this post is going to give you a bunch of cheap fun and easy gift ideas for your friends and family!
  • Memory Book or Jar
Price - Free
Need  - Paper, Pens, Jar or Book
A memory book or memory jar is a cheap and easy way to show your friend or family member that your care about them. I have found that the best way to do this is through out the year write down any special memory's or events that you have experienced together and coming up to the gift giving you can either write them in a pretty note book or place them into a jar! I think this is a really do-able, inexpensive and fun way to give a gift to someone. (A quick tip here - to get a nice jar with out directly paying much money to can clean out an old candle or coffee pot)
  • Spa in a Jar
Price - £5
Need - Jar, your choice of products (a few ideas - face mask, travel mini's, nail varnish, nail file etc)
Spa in a jar is another fun gift to give someone, yes it is a little more expensive than the memory jar but I think this could still be done for around £5. If you are looking for a practical gift rather than a meaningful gift I think this is a really good idea.
  • Plan a Picnic
Price - Depends on the food
Need - Food, Blanket, Sun
This is a really inexpensive, fun and easy way to spend someone's birthday if it's in a summer month. This is one of my favourite's a it is a nice way to spend time together and have a lot of fun! I guarantee memories will be made if you try this gift.
  • Bake
Price - Depends on what you bake (but bake kits are available for around £1)
Need - Bake kit or home ingredients
Baking for a friend is enjoyable for both you and the friend/family member for not too much money! Baking shows that you have taken time to make something for them, it's a personal present.

I hope these helped some of you, leave a comment if you have any other ideas please!
